1. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
- Every participant in a driving safety course for lorry or bus drivers has to have a valid driving licence at the time of the event.
- Lorry or bus driving safety trainings on the Sachsenring are possible for groups only (8 to max. 10 people per group); participants have to use their own vehicles. Under winter conditions, all cars used for training purposes have to be equipped with winte tyres. Unfortunately we cannot provide rented vehicles for these trainings.
- Drivers may be accompanied by other persons. However, the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre will not tade out any accident insurance for passengers. During driving safety trainings, accompanying persons are not permitted to drive a vehicle themselves on the grounds of the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre.
- Orders given by the instructors of the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre have to be obeyed. Repeated gross violation of orders given by the instructors may lead to the exclusion of the respective person from further training. The excluded person will have no claim whatsoever to demand any reimbursement of the course fee. Moreover, the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre will also accept no liability for any resulting damage in such a case.
- The organiser or instructor can cancel, stop or postpone the training if
- less than 8 participants have registered, or
- the weather conditions do not permit the training without endangering the participants or the vehicles used, or
- technical reasons make an unhindered training impossible.
- If the safety training is cancelled or postponed, participants may either ask for the refund of fees paid or choose an alternative date.
- The rules of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) and the Regulations governing the suitability of vehicles for road traffic (StVZO) are in force everywhere on the grounds of the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre.
2. CONDITIONS OF INSURANCE
- Vehicles used in driving safety training that have a fully comprehensive insurance are generally covered by their existing insurance. Taking out an additional insurance that is valid just for the time of the training is not possible.
- Vehicles without fully comprehensive insurance are automatically covered up to a maximum of 12,500.00 Euro per vehicle as soon as the participation fee has been paid. In case of damage, however, an excess of 2,500.00 Euro per lorry or bus will have to be born by the driver or its company. The maximum amount covered can be extended to 35,000.00 Euro by paying an extra premium of 7.50 Euro per vehicle and day. The extra premium has to be paid on site on the day of the training and before the practical training commences. The excess mentioned above remains unchanged.
- The insurance does NOT cover:
- returning to the starting line on the training tracks and the transition to other training tracks
- The instructor in charge has to be notified of any damage IMMEDIATELY, but not later than on the same day, after the end of the training.
- On the day of the training, the instructor in charge will explain the conditions of insurance during the theoretical introduction (before the practical part). Any questions that may not have been answered can be asked right then.
3. Conditions of payment and cancellation
- The invoice amount has to be paid in full and without deductions within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
- If the customer fails to appear for the booked training without having effectively cancelled the contract in advance, the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre is entitled to the whole gross price agreed on.
- Cancellation of the contract by the participant has to be in writing and must be sent by e-mail or fax. The period of notice begins on the day on which the notice is received by the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre. In case of doubt, the customer has to prove that the notice has been received at the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre.
3.1. PERIODS OF NOTICE
- within 14 days of making the booking, no cancellation fee will be charged.
- up to 9 months before the agreed date of the training, the customer will be charged 20% of the contracted gross price.
- between 8 months and 7 months before the agreed date, the customer will be charged 35%
- between 6 months and 90 days before the agreed date, the customer will be charged 50%.
- between 90 and 30 days before the agreed date, the customer will be charged 75%.
- as from the 29th day before the agreed date, the customer will have to pay 90% of the agreed-on gross price.
The client is at liberty to prove that the damage to the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre caused by his/her cancellation respectively absence without prior cancellation was either nonexistent or substantially lower than the agreed-on cancellation fees. If the client is able to provide conclusive proof of such claim, the lump-sum fee will be accordingly reduced or waived completely.
Up to thee months before the event, the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre (Verkehrssicherheitszentrum Sachsenring GmbH&Co.KG) has the right to cancel an agreed date if this is necessitated by a change in the date of a large-scale event or by the addition of a new large-scale event. No damages claims of the hirer will be accepted.
