Important conditions for your race-track training

REGISTRATION
Please make sure to register in person or by phone for racetrack training, since we offer only certain fixed dates and a limited number of places for individual participants. You will find the current dates for individuals in the menu “Dates for racetrack training”. Dates and prices for groups (maximum 8 persons) will be agreed on individually.

ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
may sit beside the driver; however, they are not permitted to drive a car themselves during the training. The Sachsenring Road Safety Training Centre will take out no accident insurance for passengers.

CLOTHES
Wearing clothes that do not limit your freedom of movement is an important aspect for feeling at home during your sportive driving training on the Sachsenring. Choose a comfortable set of clothes that does not limit your freedom of movement and, please, do not wear shoes with slippery soles or high-heels! It would be best to wear waterproof shoes, since you will often have to leave your car for explanations during the training sessions and most tracks are flooded. Therefore, it would also be advisable to bring a warm jacket (even in spring or autumn).

FOOD AND DRINK
Having a good time also means being offered nice food and drink in pleasant surroundings. The Sachsenring can offer this, too: Beierlein’s cafeteria and the Boxenstop restaurant are places where you can relax at any time. Whether it is breakfast, lunch or just some coffee in the afternoon – the friendly team of Beierlein’s cafeteria and the Boxenstop restaurant will be pleased to fulfil your culinary wishes. The cost of food and drink is not included in the course fee.

CARS AND PREPARATION
For racetrack training you will use your own car. In wintry weather cars have to be equipped with winter tyres.

Your car should be prepared as follows:

Oil: The oil level should be between MIN and MAX.
Fuel: The tank should be half-full at least because having to refill will cost you valuable time.
Interior: All things that cannot be fastened should be removed; otherwise they might become dangerous missiles when you brake or corner hard. By the way: This rule applies to everyday driving as well.
Boot: Here, too, all hard and heavy things should be removed. Unfastened spare cans, attaché cases etc. will make not only unpleasant noise, they can also make dents into the sides of the boot!

PRECONDITIONS
Every participant in a driving safety course on the Sachsenring has to have a valid driving licence. Because of the particularly demanding programme, previous participation in a driving training is very much recommended in order to get the maximum benefit and fun from the drift training.

TRAINING FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
The practical parts of the training will take place on flooded slide pads and wet asphalt, which avoids undue stress on vehicles and tyres.

During the practical parts, participants are in radio contact with their instructor. Thus the latter can provide individual and situation-specific hints, thereby making the training interactive. Cause and effect will be explained immediately and in a practice-oriented way.
