REGISTRATION
Please make sure to register in person or by phone for rally training, since we offer only certain fixed dates and a limited number of places for individual participants. You will find the current dates for private persons respectively individuals participants in the menu “Dates for rally training”. Dates and prices for groups (from 6 persons) will be arranged individually.
ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
In the Step 1 programme (but NOT in Step 2) accompanying persons may sit beside the driver; however they are not permitted to drive a car themselves during the training. Both the Sachsenring Road Safety Training Centre and the drift & drive rally school will take out no accident insurance for passengers.
CLOTHES
Wearing clothes that do not limit your freedom of movement is an important aspect for feeling at home during your rally training on the Sachsenring. Choose a sportive and comfortable set of clothes that does not limit your freedom of movement and, please, do not wear shoes with slippery soles or high-heels! It would be best to wear waterproof shoes, since you will often have to leave your car for explanations during the training sessions and most tracks are flooded. Therefore, it would also be advisable to bring a warm jacket (even in spring or autumn).
CARS AND PREPARATION
STEP 1: In order to be able to apply the lessons learnt in everyday live, you should use your own car. In wintry weather cars have to be equipped with winter tyres.
Oil: The oil level should be between MIN and MAX.
Fuel: The tank should be half-full at least because having to refill will cost you valuable time.
Interior: All things that cannot be fastened have to be removed; otherwise they can become dangerous missiles when you brake or corner hard. By the way: This rule applies to everyday driving as well.
Boot: Here, too, all hard and heavy things should be removed. Unfastened spare cans, attaché cases etc. will make not only unpleasant noise, they can also make dents into the sides of the boot!
STEP 2: The cars will be provided (Misubishi EVOs).
PRECONDITIONS
Every participant in a rally training in the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre has to have a valid driving licence.
TRAINING FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
Our rally training takes place on flooded slippery surfaces, which simulate conditions on snow-covered roads. Thus, cars tend to react quite strongly even at low speeds without putting much stress on vehicle or tyres. Participants are in radio contact with their instructor. Thus the latter can provide individual and situation-specific hints, thereby making the training interactive. Cause and effect will be explained immediately and in a practice-oriented way.
FOOD AND DRINK / ADDITIONAL SERVICES
STEP 1: Prices for the course do not include food and drink.
